I always wondered how ratings, demographics and more importantly *(to me) how a show is considered for extension or cancellation. The Nielsen Rating system [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_ratings] explains a lot but to me has shed light on the fact that nearly nothing I thought ever mattered, does. I once thought that there was a way that a provider could determine, roughly, at least, how many people in a specific region or time zone were tuned in to a certain station at a certain time slot...Netflix rebrands the DVD by mail service
To further segregate the pricing updates between streaming and DVD media, Netflix has now announced a ‘renaming’ of the DVD BT mail portion of their service. Dear Ian, I messed up. I owe you an explanation. It is clear from the feedback over the past two months that many members felt we lacked respect and humility in the way we announced the separation of DVD and streaming and the price changes. That was certainly not our intent, and I offer my sincere apology. Let me explain what we are...it’s not you, it’s me…
I find myself realizing that I have only 2 weeks left in the state of Pennsylvania. I am eagerly looking forward to relocating to Florida… for the second time. I am expecting, unless I am successful at finally making it to California, that this will be my final move to Florida. Why? Not any single defining reason but for one, I hate the cold, the snow, the ice and the misery involved in it all. I can’t stand not being able to accomplish anything all winter long just to accumulate a boatload...
